Some people have reported that the main Windows download is flagged as malware by Windows Defender or other anti-virus programs. However, there is a large community that plays the game and there is no evidence of any malware being present. Either allow the exe in your anti-virus settings, or try downloading the other Windows versions below (windows 64 bit or non-self contained versions) which are less likely to be flagged as a false positive.
If you have a Mac or Linux installed, download the Mac or Linux versions as they are virtually guaranteed not to have any virus flagging issues since Mac and Linux lack viruses and generally don't use or need an anti-virus.

TimofeiMega man 2 is better than Mega man 1. Mega man 2 has really cool robot masters and weapons ;), but not bubble lead, atomic fire and time stopper. Pipis are really stupid in this game (also in Mega man dr. Wily's revenge and Mega man II GB). In Japanese and Wily wars versions there is no normal difficulty from each version. The soundtrack is Pretty good and better than Mega man 1.Favorite songs: Title screen, Metal man, Heat man (much like megalomania from undertale) and Wily castle 1.My favorite robot master is Metal man.My least favorite robot master is Flash man.Soundtrack and game: B+For me, mega man 2 is a great game, but it's overrated. The music is fantastic (Not including wily stage 3/4), the robot master line up is one of the best in the series (Not including flash man), and the stages are really fun. (Not including wily stage 3 and 4 because they are boring and forgettable). Lastly, The Bosses are in the middle, some are hard and some are easy. (That boobytrap boss can screw right the hell off).(I hate it because of the large amounts of sprite flickering it causes).Soundtrack: 9/10.Game: 8.2/10.

ddisgdThat game is literally the best Mega man gameCertainly not...ddisgdbest mega man soundtrack ever!yes, best!nothing can compare this game's soundtrack!!!!!!!1There are much better soundtracks, like those of most Zelda games or Mario games. The one from MM2 isn't even the best in the Mega Man series.

well i feel bad for those of you who can't download these to your computer. it's a real shame that some computers are like total jerkfaces and will refuse to do so. anyway, my favorite part of the soundtrack is wily's castle 1-2. #6 is missing:/

In Mega Man Legacy Collection 1+2, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 is on a Game Card, while Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 can be redeemed via a download code provided by Capcom. Capcom has not issued an official statement yet.
Street Fighter X Mega Man[a] is a crossover platform game created by Singaporean fan developer Seow Zong Hui. Initially developed as a fan game, Street Fighter X Mega Man later received support from Capcom, who assisted in the production of the game. Street Fighter X Mega Man was released as a free download from Capcom Unity on December 17, 2012. It celebrates the 25th anniversary of both Capcom's Mega Man and Street Fighter franchises. Gameplay mimicks the design of classic Mega Man games with Street Fighter characters substituting as important enemies encountered in the game.[1] The game received mixed to positive reviews by critics, with some common complaints relating to technical issues and a lack of a save feature. In response to the complaints, an update was released on January 28, 2013 titled Street Fighter X Mega Man V2, which added a password save feature and other fixes.
Two days after release, Capcom Senior VP Christian Svensson commented on the official Capcom website, Capcom-Unity, that the game has exceeded his personal expectations in terms of downloads, but no exact numbers have been released.[21] Capcom's Senior Community Manager, Brett Elston, noted that the number of downloads during release was enough to cause significant strain on their servers.[22] By March 3, 2013, the game had been downloaded one million times.[23]
Here's the binary mega man demo from the iam8bit 2007 show. It was done on a tight deadline and uses modified batari basic, there's quite a bit of straight assembly code and it runs on a Super Chip because I needed the extra ram. And it's a 32K bankswitched cart because of all of the art.
The game is available for purchase as either a solo purchase in digital format or physical format for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch that was released in Japan only. This game is also available as a dual purchase for both physical release or a digital bundle pack (excluding the Nintendo eShop) alongside Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2. In the case of the Switch dual release however, similar to the previous Legacy Collection releases, only this game has a physical cartridge, while Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 was given a code for a free digital download, similar to Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.
